*UPDATE* 1 packet SOLD | 4 Packets available (26 Seeds per packet)
One of many varieties bred by Tom Wagner and introduced in the late 1990s.
Summer Cider is a beautiful, rich golden yellow, medium-to-large, somewhat flattened fruits offer a very pleasant, sweet, delicate citrus flavor. Slightly blander flavor than Pink Brandywine, great for flavorful yellow sauces, sandwiches, plating and more. The taste improves when you leave the fruit to ripen well on the plant. Wait until they’re soft to the touch. The richness of taste really improves and then its flavor is THE BEST.
Most fruits are in the 4-10 oz. range, but can grow to 1+ lb. A late ripening, potato leaf, indeterminate. Healthy 5 to 6 feet tall vines produce well all the way to first frost. Plants are prolific and hardy! Vines also have good disease resistance. Organic. Open pollinated.
IMAGE Comments: The golden tomatoes in the ‘Early September Harvest’ image are Summer Ciders grown in my west Prescott garden. The other two images are borrowed from the internet as I did not take any single tomato photos myself.
